Downtown
I'​ve been to Europe several times and the one thing that truly draws me to that culture is the small towns. Several of the streets are restricted to pedestrians only. Businesses are open. Restaurants have tables set out on the sidewalks. Families walk in town every evening to shop, eat and to socialize. It'​s like the Harvest Homecoming every day not just four days in October.

Pearl &​ Market
Downtown is looking great this Holiday Season. Except for the marble building on the corner of Pearl &​ Market. I think it was a bank at one time. Can anything be done to help the owners refurbish it?

Would like to see some events scheduled for daytime hours Monday - Friday. Maybe one little section of businesses (3-5 near each other) have "​open houses."​ They could have discounts, free samples, entertainment. Just twice a month, thus it would take a calendar year probably to get through them all.

I was asked to join your organization when it first started and I must compliment you for all the wonderful things you'​ve done. I'​d love to suggest having another festival entitled "​Shermage​ddon"​. Turn a lemon into lemonade. Have t-shirts entitled "​I was at ____ when the bridge closed"​, or something like that. Have all the restaurants involved w/Shermageddon treats - and so on. I know you guys can come up with better ideas, but hope you can put some of it to use.
